Every year the Dickerson Owners have a weekend long Rendezvous. This year, Denise, Mullet and I left Herrington Bay early Friday for a nice sail across the bay to the Choptank River and joined 10 other Dickerson boats in a parade up the Choptank River and LaTrappe creek to the site where our boats were built. We spent Friday night tied up to the docks at Dickerson Boatbuilders visiting our sister boats and sailors. At the Captains party that night in the old shed where our boats were built - dirt floor and all, we enjoyed great presentations by some of the folks that worked on our boats and ran the company between 1945 and 1987.
Waiting for the start of the parade of boats at the Choptank light.
